Abstract submission

Would you like to present your work at MOSA Conference 2026: Women's health? As an active participant you can send your abstract for a poster presentation.

We kindly invite you to submit your abstract for the 30th edition of MOSA Conference! MOSA Conference aims to bring together students interested in the latest developments in (bio)medical research.

General requirements

  • Active participants hold full responsibility for the preparation and presenting their work via a poster presentation. 

  • ALL PRESENTATIONS WILL BE PUBLIC!
    Please read this, NO confidential data can be present in the poster presentations. The presenters themselves are responsible for checking this and removing all the protected data. 

  • The procedure of the presentation sessions is determined by the MOSA Conference Organizing Committee. Participants are not allowed to change sessions/places in the sessions without contacting the Organizing Committee first. If you wish to change/cancel your participation in the conference, please contact us at secretary.mosa2026@gmail.com

  • All presentations and discussion sessions need to be delivered in English as it is the working language of this conference. 

  • There should be only one presenter per poster (the active participant, who submitted the abstract).
    Co-authors can join and participate in the discussion.

  • Posters should contain the title and the full author’s list.

 
 
 
 
 
  • Abstracts must cover a topic related to (bio)medical sciences without necessarily fitting to the theme of this year “Women's health”;

  • Abstracts must be written in English;

  • Abstracts must contain 400 words maximum; 

  • Abstracts must follow the template outline as seen HERE

  • Abstracts should not contain tables or graphs;

  • Abstracts should address the problem and the purpose of the study;

  • Titles and abstracts should be free from abbreviations, except those commonly used in the scientific literature;

  • Abstract should not be submitted if:

    • The abstract has been accepted at an international conference before

    • It has been submitted to an international conference pending acceptance;

  • The material should not have been previously published or presented at any international meeting; 

  • Only one submission (= one abstract) will be allowed per person;

  • The abstract should be submitted by sending the file in a Word document format to the email secretary.mosa2026@gmail.com with the subject “MOSA2026_Abstract_Surname_FirstName”. Indicate within the email whether you would want to present your research as a poster presentation, oral presentation or you have no preference. If you indicate no preference, we will submit your application as oral presentation candidate for the jury.

  • By submitting the abstract you automatically confirm that your research is original work and written solely by the authors without plagiarizing other researchers' work. 

 
 
 
 
 
 

Withdrawal conditions & change of presenter

If you need to withdraw the abstract or change the presenting author, please contact secretary.mosa2026@gmail.com by June 18th, 2026 at the latest. 

 
 
 

Registration and fees

Registration for active participation is now openPlease pay the following fee as soon as you receive the invitation to present your presentation/poster at this year conference

  • Last year Biomedical Master students UHasselt / UMaastricht: FREE

  • UHasselt / UMaastricht students (any program or year except last year Biomedical Masters):

    • €15 

  • Other active participants:

    • €20 ​​
